Randomly last Wednesday, POSEY & I got invited to a party in “NoHa” — The New Harlem. You say free food and drinks, I’m there ! I threw on some black skinny’s and a tee, & called it a night. A little leopard goes a long way! No fuss was a must for me. I wasn’t in the partying mood, but I sure was in the eating one. Wait, I’m always in a eating mood. This is turning into a fatkidlovescupcakes post. We won’t go there!
On the way home, we found a “photo opp” .. as usual.
We must thank the nice construction workers that stopped fixing the road on 12th Ave to take our pictures and make sure we got safely across the street O_o
— haha gotta love New York. Harlem never fails me —
! RAIR !
Sunday, July 10, 2011 — Since we were out all Saturday night, when we got back to The City Sunday afternoon, brunch was the only thing on our biscuits. Too bad we took too long to leave the house, missing out on church and brunch but it’s never too late for bbq — so we took our festivities to Dinosaur Bar-B-Que for a Sunday feast. I’m sure it was nothing like the last supper but it definitely left us satisfied. All hail the southern delectable gods !
I had to, tehehehe.
And then on the way home, Posey and I had a mini photo shoot on 125th St.
it’s the moments that you can’t relive, even if you tried … that’s what i live for.
we sealed the day with a stroll in the neighborhood, setting our eyes on Harlem-nites galore and our taste buds on local cupcakes. Mmm … Red Velvet, please ?
the symbol formally known as Play’s creative nook. She was sketching what we would look like when we get old.
–When she sends me the pic, I’ll be sure to share. It’s too good, not to. —
Oh, I’m sorry .. she said she’s going to stop saying “old,” instead “how many years do you have?” shout out to the & PLAY conversations!
*currently cracking the eff up thinking about all of random talks this weekend*
Meet & (symbol formally known as) Play.
before we leave the apartment, we must always take a mirror pic & have “exit music” playing.
Nothing like a New York slice of pizza! And Posey insisted on a root beer (blahh!) in the bottle. Authenticity.
i thought corner stores were open 24 hours. apparently only the drive-thru.
a cab ride in NY is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get. RUN FORREST!
Harlem streets definitely hold a special place in my heart.
& PLAY ADVENTURES TAKE ONE !
