the biggest kid on the playground

i have way too much fun on the playground .

... clearly, im a big kid at heart.

I’m going to seriously miss wearing rompers  & everything racerback. I lived in them this Summer.

I’m serious about my swangs ..

very serious .. WEEEEEEE !!

licensed to grill

You know what ?! I think I’ve only been to one barbecue this Summer and I don’t even think I had a burger. I am trippin’ ! So the thirst for a burger straight off the grill hit an all time high and I couldn’t resist.

you all can have your Five Guys (although my tummy is a fan) — there’s no comparison !

sand & sunnies

Beach day at The Hamptons ?

” I’m into it ! ” — #ATEAM

After POSEY & I spent 3 hours in the car trying to get out of the city, we found ourselves in Southampton. If I didn’t know any better you would think we arrived on some land far, far away — not Long Island.

It was definitely a scorching day but everything that the doctor prescribed!

White sand. Semi-blue water. We were ready for fun in the sun!

POSEY is too funny ! She had me cracking up all day !

I’ll have to ask her again, but we named her style — something like futuristic vintage. Whatever it was, it described her to the tee. Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. No white doves.

POSEY showing off her henna tattoo that she got on set. I can not wait until this movie comes out. Love supporting my friends do big things!  Remember the names, people. I’m telling you. {#cockypost}

It’s unreal how many pictures we took — photo shoots are life.

Hamptonites were all over the beach — we were squirrells just tryna get a nut.

The effortless chic style was everything I expected. Diva’d out in the dimest way. Just cause. Okayyy …

s/o to POSEY for all of these great shots of me. Toot-toot ?

That girl good.

Love the homie. Can’t believe she wore that hoodie on the beach. I was dying looking at her. For the love of fashion!

Poor trail mix didn’t stand a chance. Those M&M’s were melting in your mouth, in your hand, in the sand.

I swapped out my beloved Ray Bans for my hottie tottie Tom Ford’s.

Just for the day.

I don’t know how many hours we were out there but the sun will drain you. Being hours away from home, tired, drenched in sand, hoping for tan lines, and having to get home for a barbeque .. POSEY & I had to say farewell to Southampton for the time being to head back to Jersey. Bittersweet but SO happy we got out for the day. Far enough to feel like a getaway but close enough to make it over and over again …

Trust — it’s goin down (meet me in the .. )

nothing better than a sunset to end a perfect day.

risk takers we break the rules — gets so dark, but I see good .

I can’t begin to name all of the perks there are living so close to The City … but I can name one. VISITORS! Seems like every other weekend, friends are “coming to town”. I love it — and the other (Saturday, July 9th) weekend was no different. The best part was, this time, we actually got a chance to get out of the city.

Depending on where you are Brooklyn is right out of Manhattan .. but BOY is it a world of a difference !

We spent most of the night just hanging out, threw a few beers back with our Virginia boys, and reminisced on the good ol days. Seems like we’ve been doing that more than often aka “we’re getting old”. Nevertheless, these are the kinda of visits to love! Can’t wait for more like them ..

No, your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you.

All of these pictures were taken on the same night ( – all photographed by Ashley Posey – ) the night just carried over to the next day. We got back to The City at Noon. No complaints:) It was another great weekend in the books!

lately my pMac, my laptop, has been wiggin’ out on me leaving me unable to upload any pictures. in a way, it was kinda a blessing because instead of thinking about what would look good on coco&click, perfect pictures, and inspiration for posts — I’ve been living! I even got a chance to hit the beach .. for the first time all summer. Isnt that sad? Pictures are coming soon … in the mean time, back to this Iceeeeeee…

The Grove, Houston.

I know by the looks of things, seems like all I did was eat in Houston. I promise you we did so much more ! I’m telling you food in the South is worth mentioning. Deliciousness at its finest ! The Grove was no different.

Even the drinks were bangin. At first I ordered my usual glass of Sauvignon Blanc but after I saw Jade’s Champagne Mango Cosmo, I had to try one of my own!

Anyone notice the difference between MY Champagne Mango Cosmo and Jade’s Champagne Mango Cosmo?

The Grove served me The Set Up ..! Deelish, and kickin’, if you know what I mean.

the Grilled Chicken Breast topped with Lemon Yogurt, with a Ceasar salad instead of the Ancient Grain. SUPERB!

the Hand Rolled Fettuccine, Baby Scallops, and Summer Corn.

let’s not forget Jade’s Mango Sorbet (that melted but she doesn’t want to admit it. its ok.)

The Grove Restaurant

“This is the first time he came on our street!!” – my 10 year old neighbor

While listening to The Weeknds in my room, I overheard the ice cream truck song and ran to the window to make sure wasn’t buggin. I wasn’t. I haven’t seen an ice cream truck on my block since I was little. Once all of the kids my age grew up, they stopped coming down my street. But now my block is filled with kids again! And to see all of them run back and forth between the truck and their parents to get money … that got me all warm inside. Day maker, for sure!

Just something about your first ice cream truck experience of the season.

It’s the little things.
